ZINKNET Advanced Organology Access Agreement

Purpose

The Advanced Organology section of ZINKNET provides access to detailedresearch data relating to historical instruments, including:

Access is granted for research, educational, artistic, conservation,and professional purposes.

Acknowledgement and Citation

Users agree to acknowledge both ZINKNET and the Haute École de Musique deGenève (HEM Genève) in any publication, conference presentation, article,thesis, dissertation, lecture, website, recording booklet, exhibition,or other public output making use of data obtained through the AdvancedOrganology section of the platform.

Recommended citation:

This work made use of organological data provided through ZINKNET,a research platform developed by the Haute École de Musique de Genève(HEM Genève).

Users should also acknowledge any museum or partner institution fromwhich the original data originate whenever applicable.

Use of Data for Instrument Making

Users acknowledge that organological datasets made available throughZINKNET may contribute to the design, reconstruction, manufacture,restoration, or commercial sale of musical instruments.

Any maker using measurements, scans, technical data, or other informationobtained through ZINKNET for the production of instruments, whether forresearch purposes or commercial purposes, agrees to acknowledge:

An acknowledgement should appear on the maker's website, technicaldocumentation, catalogue, publication, or other appropriate supportassociated with the instrument.

Respect for Data Ownership

Access to the data does not imply transfer of ownership of the originalmaterials. Users agree to respect any restrictions imposed by museums,collections, archives, or partner institutions providing access to theinstruments and associated documentation.

No Unauthorized Redistribution

Users shall not redistribute or publish complete datasets obtainedthrough the Advanced Organology section of ZINKNET without priorauthorization.

Access credentials are personal and may not be shared with third parties.

Research Integrity

Users are encouraged to communicate corrections, observations, andadditional information that may contribute to improving the quality ofthe platform.
