For “Canzone terza” the sub-heading in the C I partbook reads "questa parte può esser Sonata da un Corneto, ò Violino al'Octava". The Va[G] alternative may be implied by the fact that Viole is indicated in the tavola, and that Violino is given as a substitute for the canto viole.
